It uses the special oxidizing catalyst, ferox, to dissolve the oxygen in the air and pass it through the source water. This dissolved oxygen will come in contact with and oxidize the iron(Fe) and magnesium(Mn) existing as bicarbonate, It will also work as filtering media, and remove the oxidized matters while draining what remains on the filter layer through backwash.
Applications
- Dye works, and paper mills: when the product discolors, reducing its value. Food factories: when the product gets colored, thus damaging the color and taste of the product and deteriorating its quality. Cooling water, and boiler water: when scale forms on the piping work, thus lowering cooling efficiency and interfering with the functioning of a boiler.
- Ion-exchange resin: when films are formed on the resin surface, lowering its purity.
